On The Farm Chili

A hearty chili created by Aunt Sue that has been distributed to our customers for years.
Ingredients
- (1 lb.) Ground Beef
- 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 lb. Sweet Italian Sausage (or another sausage of your choosing)
- 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 15oz can chili beans drained
- 2 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 15 oz can black beans drained
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes with juice 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 2 cubes beef bouillon
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Season to taste with salt and pepper
Directions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and sausage until evenly brown. Drain.
- Combine all remaining ingredients in a large stock pot. Stir to blend.
- Simmer covered on low for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with corn chips, cheddar cheese or sour cream.
Alternative Cooking Methods:
- Cook all day, 6-9 hours, on low in a crock pot.
- Cook in instant pot. Brown ground beef, sausage, and onion on sauté feature then cook on high pressure for 15 minutes + natural release.
