Our full size brine kits are the perfect preparation for your Thanksgiving turkey. Made with the usual salt and brown sugar with local additions of organic dried herbs and apples. This brine kit also comes with a brining (or roasting) bag for containing your brine and turkey in.
These kits can also be used to brine approximately 4 pork roasts or whole chickens. Poultry and pork are both excellent candidates for brining as they tend to be learner cuts of meat that can dry out during cooking. You can even take your brine to the next level by substituting some of your water for apple cider or orange juice, too!
Mix the contents of the brine kit into 4 gallons of warm water and ensure the sugar and salt fully dissolve. Allow to cool to room temperature (you can add ice cubes to help). Place your turkey in the brine, cover, and refrigerate overnight. Many people use a cooler to contain their turkey because of their large size. Drain and pat the turkey dry before cooking.
Sea salt, brown sugar, dried local apples, spices, (peppercorns, mustard seed, fennel seed, bay leaf) , dried local herbs (rosemary, sage, thyme, oregano, parsley).
